Wake up Sleeping Church!

Pastors are gagged and muzzled

Yes it is true!  Did you know that many pastors are not able to speak freely on core issues that affect the souls of their congregations and the communities in which they live?  This is a shocking indictment on American churches.  Two question come to mind my.  First, why are these pastors not speaking freely, and secondly, who is stopping them from speaking freely.  Also, what is one important purpose of the church?

A pastor who preaches to a church congregation can deliver freely any message that the Lord God directs him to if the church is the free church, that is, Jesus Christ is Head of the church.  The church is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. “And the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2Cor. 3:17

A church that is not free is one that is under the lordship of the government and their agents including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  A “church” that requests to be given the status of a 501 (c) (3), non- profit organization, is not really a church but a tax-exempt, charitable organization.  In order to receive this status, and the “benefits” that come with this status, the church serves another master besides the true God. The “church” is under bondage. “No man can serve two masters…”

How are pastors gagged and muzzled?  When a church accepts 501(c)(3) status it becomes a state established non-profit organization.  It has become a creation of the state instead of a creation of God.  It is a state established and controlled church.  The “church” thus contracts with the government to accept this non-profit tax-exempt status in order to gain benefits.  But this comes at a great cost. The state determines how the funds are used, who uses them, who preaches and what they say. The pastors who preach in a state church have to use only state approved words, topics, and messages.  Pastors are also required to support “public policy” even if government policy clearly goes against Biblical / Scriptural teaching, yes even if it goes against the core beliefs of the Christian faith. Has your pastor denied the faith?!  If public policy supports murder and sodomy, and your “church” is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, or an “unincorporated association” or a “charitable trust” then your pastor cannot speak as the Lord directs him to because there is another master that the “church” is serving.  The people get an ear-tickling watered down version of the gospel.  The “church” is being lied to!

What is the purpose of the church? The church of the living God is the “pillar and ground of truth.” 1Tim.3:15 During the years of 1791 until 1933, the First Amendment to our Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” was respected and the pulpits of American pastors were the cradle of America’s Christian liberty. Preachers did not hesitate to speak against sin in society, or recommend who might be a godly candidate for public office.  They knew how vital the church was in establishing a moral society. Preachers have a moral, God given mission to preach against sin.  If people do not know what sin is, how can they know the need for a personal Savior?   Are there other reasons people “attend church?”
